課程概述

This is an introduction to phenomenology. It is about the experience of perception and thought, of how our senses work together, how we form ideas of objects that we see, hear, smell, taste, or touch. It is about how we relate to the world and represent the world to ourselves. We shall investigate what intentionality, objectivity, and inter-subjectivity are, and how we read and interpret the world based on our experience from the first-person point of view. Topics like intentionality, consciousness, memory, imagination, pictures, symbols, life world, and intersubjectivity will be introduced and discussed. We will use a textbook by Sokolowski followed by primary texts from Husserl.

課程目標
The objective is to understand intentionality, consciousness, perception, memory, imagination, symbols, objectivity, and thought from theories based on first person perspective.
